Web-Based Access Control for ITS Web Services, Present and Future

Description: This session is aimed at helping developers of ITS hosted Web sites learn to use the tools available for controlling access to Web sites, both over the Web and for Web-editor access.  Tools to be described include User Managed Groups (UMGs), ACL Explorer, and role-based tools.  In addition, description of soon to come changes to Web services and access control tools will be given.  New projects such as the PASS migration, protected.personal.psu.edu, WebRAT, Workflow and others will be covered.

Prerequisite Skills: Attendees should be familiar with managing content on an ITS hosted site, such as Departmental Web space.
