Managing Web Development Workflow

Presenter: Brian Panulla

Description: Most Web development projects never really end; it is a well-known fact that most projects spend the majority of their lives in the maintenance stage of the development life cycle. Given the truth, how can our development tools and processes help provide structure in a world of feature creep and endless user requests?

This presentation will cover some fundamental concepts of the development process and how readily available tools, such as version control, build automation, and bug tracking can be used to guide and facilitate the development process.

Prerequisite Skills: Familiarity with basic version control concepts (such as Subversion or CVS) is assumed.
