To Stream or Not to Stream: Progressive Download in Flash

Presenter: Michelle Panulla

Description: Adobe Flash 8 Professional can be used to quickly and easily "stream" video on the Web.  Though one can use it with Flash Media Server to perform true streaming, one can also use the Progressive Download feature to start playing the video while it is downloading, and therefore simulate streaming.  This session is designed to show how to encode video for Flash 8 Professional and created a movie clip containing the video using Progressive Download.

Prerequisite Skills: Experience using Flash is recommended, but not necessary.
