Noted Author, Steve Krug, to Keynote at Penn State's Web 2008 Conference
Steve Krug, author, usability expert, and consultant, is this year's keynote speaker for Penn State's Web 2008 Conference. His very popular book, "Don't Make Me Think," provides a common sense approach to making Web sites easy to use and navigate. Steve will tell us, Everything You Need to Know about Usability (47-minute version).
Conference Highlights
This year the conference will offer twenty-four sessions, and several new activities have been added to keep the Web Conference enjoyable and exciting.
The day will begin at 8:00 a.m. with a book signing by the keynote speaker, poster and vendor sessions and will include a continental breakfast break.
Lunch will be included at the Penn Stater, where attendees are encouraged to continue networking.
Rather than the usual general session that closes the conference at the end of the day, Kevin Morooney, vice provost for Information Technology at Penn State, will moderate a Town Meeting comprised of Penn State's colleagues and peers from other higher education institutions.
Following the town meeting, conference attendees are invited to further the conversations of the day and extend the fun by taking in the Restaurant Hops, another new feature of this year's conference.
